The admission process at Utrecht university is simple and clear. International students outside Europe, may not have the same admission requirements. It is important students visit the official webpage of the university of their choice and follow the necessary steps. Students can start their application process for the 2019-2020 academic year from October onward.
How to Apply for Admission at Utrecht University?
For most Master’s programmes you can apply at any time during the application period. However, because the number of places may be limited, we strongly recommend that you complete your application as early as possible. The sooner you complete your application, the sooner you will receive a decision on your admission. Steps in the application processes are:
- Apply online for the programme of your choice via Studielink.
- You will receive an email with login details for OSIRIS Online Application, where you can upload the required documents. Here you will also be able to check the status of your application.
- Pay the application fee, if applicable.
- Once your application is complete, it will be processed and you will receive an admissions decision from the Graduate School. If you receive a (conditional) offer of a place, you must accept (or decline) this offer in OSIRIS Online Application.
- If you receive an admissions offer, you will be asked to send in several certified documents.

Bachelors Degree Application procedure
Application for the 2019-2020 academic year, will begin from October onward.
We strongly advise you to apply as early as possible. Admission requirements, application deadlines and application procedure depend on the programme you choose. For detailed information see the webpages of the Bachelor’s programme of your choice.
Students can choose to study in Dutch or English medium. There are currently 12 English taught Bachelor’s programmes:

Costs of Studying and Living in Utrecht
